Donna Joy is retired sharing her recipes, and knowledge for enjoyment. Due to pandemic restrictions, ingredient shortages, ingredient prices jumping, shipping costs and lack of labor Donna Joy retired from D. Joy and Sedona Sweet Arts in 2021.
About Donna Joy
Donna Joy is a continuous entrepreneur, who started in the Biotech, and medical field. She was blessed to be part of a team that developed life-saving biological products for implantation in Switzerland. Built the company from the ground level and was responsible for all aspects of the production of biological products in the class 100 cleanroom. Move back to the US and worked on another startup, Ambulatory Infusion Devices Medical Devices. As Production Manager, she was responsible for all aspects of the production line including the processes, and procedures, and set the clean room production of ambulatory infusion devices. Both companies still exist to this day. Donna was also involved in offshore manufacturing, auditing, implementation, and education of TQM programs.
She moved to Sedona wanting to grow her family. Sedona being a rural resort town led Donna and her husband, Dana into the food business.
Donna love for science, food, and arts led her into Culinary Arts and food processing of Donna Joys’® proprietary formulas in grab-and-go, take-and-bake, and Chef prepared food mixes for home consumption.
Donna has been awarded Trail Blazing awards, been featured in People Magazine for her culinary art as Arizona’s Best Wedding Cake, ESPN Best grooms cake, and more. Her work has been seen in movies, and featured in national magazines throughout the years.
Donna has served on Business Boards and non-profit Boards throughout the years.
While in Sedona Donna learned self-taught the Culinary Arts, formulas, food packaging. Developed proprietary formulas and created Donna Joy’s® a registered trade name.
Donna’s D. Joy Food Services obtained an FDA license for food processing and shipped Donna Joy’s products all over the world.
