When it comes to desserts, cakes, and sugar art there is so many ways to go. Creating one-of-a-kind edible sugar art is time consuming and takes a lot of science.
Donna is self-taught developing formulas, process, techniques, studying and experimenting with tools, techniques, and mastering them to created stunning edible art.
When making items that require the same shape repeated in detail she makes a food-grade mold. From lace, shells even skateboard wheels give a really cool look. Crafting unique 3-d shapes and structure is a challenge.
Legos are an important learning game for kids. Donna used her son’s Legos to create the edible Legos for this cake.
This Grooms Cake was a surprise for groom from the bride. 100% Edible The bride took a picture of the groom skateboard logo and Donna sized and printed it using a food grade printer printed with edible coloring on edible frosting sheet,
Custom Skateboard cake was made to scale using a real skateboard for measurements. A special thanks to Wade my neighbor for loaning me his skateboard.
For the wheels I made a food grade mold then I tempered white chocolate creating edible white chocolate wheel. White Chocolate wheels featured the cake making the entire cake edible.

Hand sculpted pastillage sugar Palm Tree topper
Chocolate Tiki and bark made with chocolate leather – modeling chocolate.
White chocolate shells, pastillage sugar flowers and surfboard. Edible sand and chocolate filled wafer cookies accent one tier on this two-tier cake.
Custom belt buckle was made from sugar adorns the side of cake 3 tier western wedding cake.
The wedding couple brought their family belt buckle they want it to be incorporate.
Donna Joy took the family belt buckle and created a mold in order to make it in sugar.
Hand sculpted pastillage sugar Lilies along with accent flowers adorn the sides.
