Sedona Chamber continues to Marketing Sedona, they never stopped! The Sedona Chamber Board and CEO played the Disinformation campaign of false intel intending to mislead the public, rival the City Council, and control public funding through the media waves. The Chambers’ own records show it was a play on words, planned and issued by the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
While the Chamber and its members whine that the Chamber hasn’t done any marketing due to City Council that is NOT true.
The Chambers’ own budget details reveal that Sedona Chamber is marketing, never stopped marketing, and is receiving public money to do so.
The Chamber simply change the meaning of the term “Marketing”
The Quality of Tourism Economy Programs has the following “marketing” items. The other categories have more.
- Arizona Office of Tourism programs
- Marketing support
- Marketing collateral
- Media and communication
- Meeting sales
- Travel trade industry sales
- Postage, Delivery, & Distribution of marketing material
These are just a few of the items that show us the Chamber is still marketing. Keep in mind the Tourism Bureau and The Visitor Center are items the Chamber charges the City of Sedona for.
Reviewing the details is very disturbing, the Sedona Chamber has been charging the City for the Chambers own operations like property taxes, maintenance, and Volunteer training while only marketing Chamber members.
A deep dive shows us that the Sedona Chamber markets Sedona in the other categories.
