Social Media

Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Nextdoor are ways that people socialize today. Some people hate it, some love it. As in all media types, there are pros and cons
I got involved years ago and used it as a way to market my business long before the hype began. Marketing my business did great on Facebook. I also marketed Sedona Weddings on Facebook. Eye catchy photos did very well for my business, I got over 11,000 followers organically on the businesses page when I was operating. I retired in 2021 so the followers have declined Sedona Sweet Arts
Sedona Weddings was an easy promotion. Couples love the majestic backdrop of Sedona. Sedona was able to build a following of potential couples looking for the perfect wedding destination. Growing the Destination Wedding industry in Sedona formed into a business association where the businesses all pooled their money together and target marketing the wedding industry. As the Sedona Wedding Industry grew so did the talent base. Sedona Bridal Fair was formed as the signature event for the Sedona Wedding industry. Over 1,000 Couples would join us every year at the Sedona Bridal Fair searching for all the right vendors for their Sedona Wedding.

This type of communication does have many benefits if they are used in the right method.

Personal profile Facebook pages allow one to create a business page and join a group that they may have an interest in.

  • Local boards are a good way to find out what’s happening or trending in your community. Some target rental properties, politics, quality of life decisions, and much more. Many shares lost pets. Making the locals aware of items in their community. Bringing locals together for the same common causes.
  • Local Government put their information out there to reach the public. Here are a few I’ve seen and followed governments on Facebook:
    • State
    • Cities
    • Counties
    • Fire Districts
    • School Districts
    • Forest Fires
  • Trade boards keep you connected to your industry and provide educational resources.
  • Interest boards connect you to your hobbies and other interests
    • Gardening
    • Cooking & Baking
    • Home Garden DIY
    • Sewing
    • Photography
    • Sports & Hiking
    • and many more
  • Historial group
  • Travel, Food & Wine groups
  • Buy and Sell Groups
  • Homes to rent
  • Real Estate

Business pages are an excellent way to promote your business and engage your customers in conversation. Business pages provide continuous growth if used correctly.

I see Facebook as a resource and use it as such.
