Donna Joy’s classic cream cheese frosting. A perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Perfect finish for carrot, red velvet, spice, and pumpkin cakes, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls and much more. www.DonnaJoys.com

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Cream Cheese (room temperature)

  • 1 pound Butter (room temperature)

  • 4.5 teaspoons Vanilla

  • 5 1/3 cups Powdered sugar

Directions

  • Using a mixer, blend cream cheese until soft. Slowly add butter in 4 mixing well between each addition. Using a spatula mix sides and base, then mix. The butter and cream cheese should be soft.
  • Add vanilla and blend.
  • Slowly add powdered sugar one cup at a time.
  • Mix well until light and fluffy.
