During the RORR meeting presentation, the City of Sedona shared information regarding its population, full-time equivalent positions, and comparative budgets. Since Cottonwood, Clarkdale, and Camp Verde each operate their own water companies, they removed the water-related figures from their budgets for these comparisons.
Considering the difference of municipality services. This is simply just not logical. The Arizona League of Cities and Towns keep a updated cities and town data report. It shows the current population, financial method, municipal services and much more.
Evaluating the variations in municipal services, this simply doesn’t make sense.
There is no valid comparison between the City of Sedona and its counterparts.
- Unlike Sedona, Cottonwood has a city library, while Sedona lacks a municipal library.
- The population of Cottonwood is 32% larger than that of Sedona.
- Cottonwood offers 200% more municipal services compared to the City of Sedona.
.

Over the years, the population in each of these locations has seen growth, with Sedona being the sole city experiencing a decline. Camp Verde is home to a growing number of families, closely followed by Cottonwood. Both Cottonwood and Camp Verde offer more affordable housing, attracting families to move in that direction.
